Moen shower faucet

Hi all new here and have a question. I recently had a Stand up tile shower installed and a moen faucet(not sure on model at this time). Well wife uses it last night and calls and tells me that the handle will go from off postion counter clockwise from 12 to 9 and clockwise from 12 to 6? Does this seem correct? Also instead of handle pointing down towards the ground It points up toward the ceiling?? I'm out of town so can't check anything at the moment..any info appreciated.. Thanks Nathan

It's most likely a posi-temp cartridge and wasn't put together properly. If it was recently installed and you're out of town, I would suggest having the plumber come back and properly adjust it. Unless your wife is comfortable doing so.

Thanks! I haven't look at the file yet since my phone won't allow it, but is this something that can be done by just removing the handle and coverplate? Or is it located behind the tile and wall?? Once again thanks Nathan

Yep, super simple. No need to open up the wall.
