Mistakes from today...
Well, started off my day thinking I could rerun my water pipes in the laundry room to allow for a new single lever shut off and redo the sink and hose faucet. Well, my mistakes were:
1) broke apart the pipes mid wall. Thinking I could then solder a T, small piece of copper and then a female adapter and the valve. I had water dripping that caused problems. Then I welded the top and side. Thought I could solder the bottom later. Problem was that the solder ran to that joint too...
2) Ran out of T's
Ended up cutting the pipe in the ceiling and installing 1/4 turn ball valves.
Water is running to the rest of the house now but my laundry room is still a mess.
This is one of the things that happens when planning isn't complete before starting the job. Always expect the unexpected. Always have extra fittings available. It is all just part of getting experience.
