Meter Unreadable

I have a Neptune Trident water meter (3/4") inside my house (basement) that records inside water usage which is subtracted from the main (street) meter to determine outside usage and reduce my sewer bill. Problem is, the meter has moisture inside the housing which makes it unreadable. Is there any way to remove the glass w/o breaking it?

Around my area the meter is owned and maintained by the water company. Schedule them out to look at it.
