Maytag Dishwasher screw drop
I had a plumbing issue in my dishwasher. I repaired it just fine, but a screw slipped down inside. While chasing it, my fingers must have pushed it on through. I disassembled everything down to a black rotor-looking thing that free-spun when I tried to unscrew its bolt. I never found the screw, and I think I hear it knocking around inside when the dishwasher is draining.
I've run it a couple of times now, and it drains just fine. Should I be concerned about that <1" screw eventually doing serious damage, or will it work itself free and fall into my disposal someday? |

I guess theres no way of tellin if you can't see it. I'd probably unhook the hoses and try a shop vac to see if i could get it that way. Have you checked the p-trap or the disposal to see if it possibly made it that far? Maybe a magnet on a wire might get it out if it's not stainless.

I've checked the disposal and p-trap constantly, but no luck so far. It is a stainless screw, but I tried a small magnet anyway.
