There’s nothing like a large rain shower head coming straight down from the ceiling, also a couple of body sprays won’t hurt either just make sure the plumber doing the installation is a plumber not a jack of all trades master of none. We have tons here in Miami. You even have to be careful with some local plumbing companies most of the so called new area plumbers leave much to be desired.

I don't have any tips on shower heads (looking for a good one myself right now), but have done some research in planning our master bathroom remodel. What I've decided to do so far are:

1. Vessel sinks are out. I've had back problems so I always prop my upper body using my elbows and forearms on the front ledge of the vanity when washing my face or rinsing when brushing my teeth. Recessed sinks allow that but vessel sinks won't.

2. Although the better half and I are both healthy and fit now, am going to remodel our master bathroom for wheel chair accessibility just in case. In that regard, am going to widen our small master bathroom by 2 feet and install a wide pocket sliding door. The 2 extra feet will allow wheelchair rotation and the sliding door will be easier to open and close when in a wheelchair.

3. Going to install strong backing in the tub/shower area and install grab bars for now and especially for the future.

4. Going to build a custom vanity. The portion under the sink will be a large removeable box with two doors. When the box is in place, I hope to make it look like a normal vanity. But if wheelchair accessibility is needed later, just remove the box which will allow a wheelchair to roll further in for sink use.

5. Might reinforce the ceiling above the bathtub to allow for suspension hardware when getting in and out of the tub but not sure on that one yet. Depends on how much work I need to do on the ceiling. A roll in shower would be optimal but my wife only takes baths so a bathtub is a must.

Thanks, Javiles I plan on doing the work myself. I have no issue with pipe fitting or relocating floor drain. I will be removing existing tub/shower building my own custom shower so drain will be move back to center. I might want to lean on you for some directions and thoughts if thats OK. I'm not sure about the overhead shower head (seem like it would be bothersome ) just thinking it would be more modern, body sprays sound interesting. Any ideas on models or brands ? Thanks
