manufacturing defect on buth tub

after we installed the brand new acrylic bathtub, we found there is little water drop size bubble on the surface of the tub next to the drain; as we removed the plastic safety cover after the installation we did not notice that before the installation. now water is leaking (it is not in drops but it is like flowing!) thru that broken tip of that bubble. we tried to put silicon. but no luck. any fix??

Are u able to get to the under side? maby can fix with fiber glass patch kit from bottom side. Some times just a ressin will do and you won't mess up the tub. Even if U have to cut a hole into the sheet rock wall, Sheet rock is easer to fik then replacing a tub. Hope this helps Marko

Don't try to fix it yourself. Call the manufacturer. They have repair people that can come look at it and probably fix it on their own dime.

Since it's already installed, it's less labor intensive to repair it than to take it out and exchange it.
