Malfunctioning faucet/shower

In my guest bathroom when you pull the knob to transfer water flow to the shower head, it only goes about halfway - so you get low pressure coming out of the shower head, and still have water coming out of the faucet. Is there a way to fix this without removing/changing the faucet? If I do need to change the faucet, how do I do so without having to break up the tile/drywall?

It sounds like you have a defective diverter. If you can find out the make and model of your'e valve..it should be a pretty simple fix.
