Maintenance for Septic System

Extensive research by NC State University developed the following recommendations for maintaining a septic system:
A. Pump the tank out at least every five years (I have mine pumped out in every year ending in 0 or 5), a
B. Don't waste money on all of those "additives". and
C. Don't flush down any solids, such as cig filters, feminine products, excess grease, oils, etc.
