Maintenance for Septic System

What would you reccomend for maintaining a residential septic system. We have a 2 year old home with 2 full time people with 3 bathrooms. This is a conventional septic system in Wi. Thanks!

Extensive research by NC State University developed the following recommendations for maintaining a septic system:
A. Pump the tank out at least every five years (I have mine pumped out in every year ending in 0 or 5), a
B. Don't waste money on all of those "additives". and
C. Don't flush down any solids, such as cig filters, feminine products, excess grease, oils, etc.
