main waste line repair in basement

I need to replace a straight six foot section of cast iron waste pipe that is rotted and leaking. The old line has a flare on one end and a straight end where it fits into the other end of the line. How do I make the connections using pvc pipe

Rubber doughnut and Fernco rubber coupling---

at the hub---slip the rubber ring onto the PVC pipe---then use a hammer and wood block to drive the pipe/hub adapter (doughnut) into the hub----
