Low Water Pressure

We recently had our master br remodeled. Our shower water pressure used to be very good. Since the remodeling, the water pressure for the shower is terrible. Someone told me removing the "resistor" piece that mixes the hot and cold water for the single handle fixture would fix the water pressure problem. How does one go about doing that? I'm pretty handy, but I'm not even sure what I'm looking for. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Low Water Pressure

Really. That's it? Just curious, what if that doesn't improve the water pressure? Does that mean the new piping was installed incorrectly and/or something is blocking the pipes?

I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks!
