LOW Pressure on Shower - Need head suggestions!

Hey all - I am at a cottage/camp that is on a lake. It pumps the water from the lake for the showers/toilets etc.

This camp has a 'guest house' that is a little further up the hill than the main place.

The shower in this guest house doesn't have much pressure at ALL. I just had a new shower head put on (silly that it was bigger than the old one) and now it is even worse!

Is there a shower head out there that is MADE for low pressure? Something that would allow the water the shoot out in smaller holes or something so I am not showering in 'dribbling' water?

PS - The sink faucet and shower handles/head were replaced in the main cottage as well and THEY have lower pressure now than before (nowhere near as bad as the guest house) - something that is DEFINATELY not a pipe problem - because the old stuff used to POUR out water like a torrent when filling the tub.

PPS - I would love to get a head that has NO water blocker in it - as I am using 'gray' water anyway to shower.

Unscrew the head and take a look inside the end of the fitting. Sometimes the flow restrictor is a little rubber deal that can be pried out with a small screwdriver.

I will take a look - that would help for the main camp shower.

Still need some ideas for the low pressure shower in the guest cabin.

I bought a Siroflex shower head via ebay while searching for the perfect shower head for our house:

This shower head allows a LOT of water flow. It's not big so will concentrate the water but the spray pattern is pretty good. Do a search on ebay for "Siroflex shower head" and several different sellers will pop up. I bought ours from willpowerfitness for $8.95 and received it quickly.

I settled on a larger shower head since we have 60 psi of water pressure but this head will probably work well in your situation.

More often then not the low flow is from undersized lines supplying the water.
If the lines are not big enought to supply enough water there will be no pressure once the valves open up.

Could your pump be failing?
