low pressure

Hey,
I live in a 2 story home and my water pressure is at best terrible on are 2nd floor bath, the sink in the Bath is effected as well toilet also,( Low Pressure). I have City water and when they checked it at the City side it was 47lbs, I did a pressure test on the 2nd story Bath and it was 26 lbs. the rest of the House is fine. My Qustion is Could I put in a Pressure tank you see in home with wells? I also would like to redo the water line in the House as well. any thoughts

Sounds like someone may have ran a 1/2" instead of the needed 3/4 main supply line to the second floor.

if the city pressure is only 47 lbs thats your problem....thats low..average is around 65-80lbs.... even if your line is only 1/2" it will still show the city pressure....it would however restrict volume flow...
