On that faucet there a tab that gets removed to access the set screw on the front of the handle, you don't see that there?

really feeling like a newbie. The tab that is removable is the red/blue symbol signifying hot/cold. It ia a rubber piece that pops out with fingernail.

OK , there is a blue outer Washer, is this the retaining nut?
If so, it does not come off easily and I'm afraid I'll break it.

I see a plastic piece in the center that is controlled by the handle that I removed.
Surrounding this is what looks to be a hard plastic washer.
I have tried to pull up the center piece as well as the outer "washer".
Nothing moves. What is holding it in place?

after you remove it you can cover the fuacet with a towel and open the shutoof valve and flush it. also look at the inlet under the cartridge to see if the cartridge got something blowup into it. after that put it all back together and see if that helped. also did you say that its only on the hot side that you have low pressure? if so you can remove the supply line on the hot side assuming its a flex like and open the valve with the flex line in a pitcher say 1 gallon and time how long it takes to fill. that way you can see how many gallons a minute you get straight from the supply tube. then do the same from the faucet and compare the two. If you get low flow from the supply tube it can be clogged or the washer be stuck to the seat in the valve itself.

So it can be pulled out? I have tried by hand and pliers to lift it straight up and out. It won't budge
