Low Hot Water Pressure

I have low hot water pressure in both bathtubs, but not on sink faucets. I assume its the tub faucets. How likely is it that they've both gone out at roughly the same time? I can't be sure when one of them started with the low pressure because I don't use it. Any advice would be sincerely appreciated.

Been doing any plumbing work on the house? If city water has there been any work being done in your area?
It's farly common to have the anti scald valves stick inside the valve bodys from some stured up trash in the lines.
Every brand is a little differant on how to fix this, so it would be best to figure out what brand it is and go on line and pull up the instrutions.

So, I suppose the best thing to do, is replace the valve. It's fairly old, anyhow. How do I know which type to get? I think it's a Gerber single handle valve.

Ok ,can you just replace the cartridge instead of changing the whole thing?

Low Hot Water Pressure

Well, I suppose I could. I was told by a plumber that gerber parts are hard to find, but I got the feeling the guy was embellishing a bit. I really don't know enough about this stuff, but I can't afford to pay the $500 estimate the plumber gave me to replace the entire faucet. Where might I find a cartridge for this particular model?

There may very well be cheaper places, thats just the first one I came across and they seem to have a pretty good selection of parts

Thanks a bunch, man. I hate to ask, but how do I know which cartridge to get? Is the only way gonna be to take the old cartridge out and match it?

Id give them a call and explain your situation to them, they might have you email them a picture of the faucet with the handle removed so they can tell you which one you need.
I dont remember ever seeing a single handle gerber faucet around these parts, lots of 2 handles but no singles
