Loss of pressure in shower this morning

This morning my wife was showering and said the pressure dropped significantly. We've never had a problem with water pressure so this is odd. My first thought was that water must be escaping somewhere. I walked around the house while the shower was on and I didn't find water shooting out of any pipe or hear any water running other than in the drain. I tried the tub (separate) and other faucets around the house and the pressure didn't seem low but it might just be more obvious in the shower. We didn't lose any heat in the water temp and nothing that uses water was running at the same time.

What can I do to further troubleshoot this problem?

Loss of pressure in shower this morning

Hi..

You didn't seem to get any responses so I'll give it a shot..

How many GPM are you getting? Take a 12, or 3 gallon bucket and time how long it takes for the thing to fill up.. a 5 gallon bucket would be to heavy I think..

Older valve @ 50psi = +- 4GPM
Newer valve @ 50GPM = +- 1.6GPM
Newer valve @ 80psi = +- 2.5GPM

You may have some debris in the cartridge... What brand valve do you have?

Hope this helps
