Losing water pressure

I turn on a faucet and the water pressure slowly decreases , then there is no water. It takes about three-five minutes from turning on a faucet to no water. I'm in the "no water condition for about 5 seconds and then the water comes on and the regular flow rate and the cycle starts again.

I'm on a well system, I have a well rite wr60 pressure tank. I did a check, the pump starting pressure is 35 psi, the pre-charge pressure is 33 psi.

I did notice the pressure gauge is moving erratically. As water pressure decreases the gauge will jump down by 5-10 psi at a time. Finally, the gauge goes to 0, then the pump kicks on.

so does this mean that my gauge is broken since the pump starting pressure is 35 psi, the but the gauge drops to 0?

How did u check the precharge pressure. You need to drain the system and tank completely. Then check the pressure. Next check your pressure switch, I'm thinking you have corrosion in the diaphragm or nipple.

yes, I drained the system and then checked the pressure. It was 33 psi
