Question

Lose Faucet

I have a lose faucet tap in my bath tub. The tap comes out of a tiled wall and there ia a spce between the tap and the tile. I used plumber's putty to try and close the gap but it did not work. I think the tap was sealed with a silicone sealant. how can I fix this ? what product could I use? my condo is 2yrs old

Thanks,

Lisa

Lose Faucet

It is the back of the metal tap that came away from the wall and there is a tiny gap. I can move the tap up and down. If that will help you understand what I am trying to explain. the tap sits above the bath line below the shower.

Thank you,

For your help.

Lose Faucet

i take it you are talking about the spout that the water comes out of? if it is see if the spout moves back and forth if it does then the clips that hold the water line in place be hide the wall is broke. if that isnt the case then see if you can spin it if you can then it might need to be tightened by spinning it. If that is what you are talking about.

Lose Faucet

Thanks, I will check it out when I go home to-night and see which way it moves. I hope I do not have to replace it because I do not know anything about plumbing.

Thanks for your help.
