loop vent or auto-vent

building a basement bathroom. the position of the sink is too far (>8 ft for a 2 in pipe) from the stack vent. do not feel like drilling for another stack.

my options are to either install a loop vent or have an auto vent device. i am inclined towards a loop vent. is this adequate ? if so, how long should be the loop side (given that it is a square) ? given that it is a 1.5 in drain.

thanks,

Use a loop vent or studor vent if your allowed in your state. Not sure what your asking about loop side.

ron,

my question was simply how big should the loop be, e.g. 2 ft x 2 ft, 3 x 3, etc. ?

thanks,

We stub up into the cabinet a min of 11" on center, as long as you can create the loop with no problems.

Loop vent

Hi, I'm putting a double sink in the center isle of our new kitchen and will need a loop vent, I think. How is it constructed since I've never built one before? -Don
