little giant submersible self priming water pump

I have one of these at my cottage. It works well but I noticed that the pressure guage reads 30 psi only and the water flow while Ok could be a little stronger. Does anyone know how to adjust it say 40 psi. And of course is 40 PSI a safe operating pressure? Thanks guys.
