Lint Trap Agitator for Washing Machine?

I have a Kenmore 90 Series (#110.26912691) washing machine. It doesn't have a built-in lint trap so I currently use one of those wire mesh lint traps over the discharge hose which drains into my utility sink. I'm replacing the utility sink with a standpipe and I understand using the wire mesh lint trap is not a good idea with a standpipe.

I know that they make agitators with built-in lint traps for washing machines (like Maytag) -- anyone know if I can retrofit my Kenmore with something like that? I see them listed on Ebay.

If the washer box is plumb in right and is 2in all the way up(VENT) and down(DRAIN) , you should not have a problem.

Thanks for the reply -- what seems to be the issue is that I have cast iron pipes (house built in '56) and manmade fibers/hair catch on the inside of the pipes, which have a rough surface, and chemicals will not break them down. So unless I want the drains rootered about once a year, I have to have a lint trap (it makes all the difference, have not had to rooter for over 3 years now).
