Im installing a in line pressure relief valve-before water heater ,cold side,- that says on end- set at 75psi.Is it preset or do i need to adjust it?..it has a closed edge and is rigid.
Also if i already have a psi reading of at least 70 or a bit higher ,80 sometimes , will that be in addition to the pressure the new valve holds..in otherwords will it release pressure at 145 or so?..
I also have valve on heater but need something external, besides expansion tank.We just had backflow valve installed by city on all water lines.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks
