leaky vegie sprayer has created mess below!! help please

Hi all..I am new to this and really could use some expertise Our vegie sprayer on our sink has been leaking for about a week now and husband's attempt to "ignore it and it will go away" technique has made it go awry! Now we are dealing with a huge mess...their is wetness everywhere below and some mold was growing. I washed the surface, which is plywood, down with a bleach solution and now I am wondering what next?? How do I fix the leak?? Thanks for any help you all can give.

Hi, welcome to DIY Chatroom.

Depends where it is leaking from.

It could just be loose. The hose could be old and damaged. Or the head could be letting a little water by.

Sometimes you can get a new spray attachment for your faucet. Just figure out what brand it is and head to a plumbing store. It would be good to take the old one off to take with you.

Of course you need to shut the valves to kill the water supply to the faucet just to be safe when removing the hose.
