leaky toilet tank

I've replaced the washers from the inside of the tank and the outside of the tank and it still leaks. There is water on the floor and seems to leak more when the toilet is filled back up. Any suggestions? Thanking You in advance.

If you over-tightened the tank-to-bowl bolts/nuts, you may have put a hair line crack in the bottom of the tank.

Hi blondie, you will also want to check at where your supply line connects to your fill valve outside of the toilet, often found located at the tank underside on the left if facing the toilet. The fill valve threads are usually plastic and if you over tighten the supply line they can sometimes crack. I would also recommend adding some leak detector fluid to the toilet to help in tracking down the leak source. Hope you can get this resolved.
Cheers,

The problem may be a crack that was caused before you changed the washers. If the tank is not resting against the wall, some people slam back and crack the tank at the bolt holes. You will need to remove the tank and check before reinstalling it.
