Leaky fitting on main supply-side

Hi everyone,
I've seen some forum posts in regards to leaky fittings but I wanted to see if the rules change when dealing with anything regarding the main.

While moving some furniture this evening, I mmmmmmight have accidentally bumped the supply side of my main. One of the fittings is dripping every 20-30 seconds or so. The fitting is after the shutoff valve, fortunately.

Until I can get a plumber out here for a permanent fix, is it ok to just shut it off and use plumber's epoxy? Or do I need to go to defcon 1 and use a plumbing emergency service?

Thanks
Jack

for a slow leak like than it's ok. He'll have to replace a good section of pipe anyway to fix it, so yeah shut it off and do your thing. that will make less of a mess
