leaking taps.

I would love some advice on which are the best taps to put in the copper lines i have put in valve taps and every time they are opened and closed they leak i was told that the lever type are best ?
P.S, they have only been installed for approx 1 year.

I've never seen a saddle-tap that didn't leak soon after it was put in. Maybe somebody else knows something I don't.

Where does it leak at?

they leak at the shaft i was always told to open and close the valves
once every 6 months so this does not happen, maybe i should remove the valve a lube all the seals, or just maybe remove the whole tap and
replace it with a different style.

Tighten up the nut on the back side of the handle, that works everytime.
