leaking shower head

i have recently installed a new tub and shower. we hooked up the faucets and shower head before we had the water heater installed. we are using pex so we had the hot water capped off. at the time when just the cold water was hooked up to it it did not leak. after hooking up the hot water whenever we turn on the water water starts to come out of the shower head like like you partially pulled up the diverter. i have a brand new tub and shower system (shower head, faucet and hot cold knob) and no its not leaking from the threads.
Any answers are greatly appreciated!

Did you use pex for ANY PART of the piping from the valve to the tub spout?

Thats the problem.
You need to change out the plumbing to the spout to copper.
Pex restricts the flow just enough to cause back pressure to flow to the shower head.
