Leaking PVC Pipe
I have a pipe that is coming down through the ceiling from the second floor that has is leaking and I need some assistance on how to repair it. It appears that the leak could be leaking from a pipe elbow connection(I don't know which end of the connection that it is possibly leaking from). I realize that the water could be leaking from above and just ending it's journey on the underside of the elbow. The problem that I have is that I have limited access to the pipe from below. I am reaching up to the pipe through a light hole cutout in the sheetrock. I can reach up to the two ends, and underside, of the pipe to feel the leaking water. Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix to the possible leaking elbow connections from below? I am attempting to see if it is possible to repair without cutting a hole out of the sheetrock. Or is this the probable end result? Does anyone think that "epoxy putty" might possibly work to seal the two ends of the connections between the straight pipe and the elbow? Thanks!
