Leak in plumbing line

Had company come out, and was told have a leak in AC Condensate/Kitchen/Washer line.

Leak is under the slab in a hall closet... $1300 quote to repair.

If the leak is under my slab, do I even care that water is leaking out in these lines?

In my firsthand experience, that leak will likely turn into a clogged line at some point in the future, as surrounding soil is pulled into the line. Also, depending on your soil, it could cause shifting that affects your foundation.

I think you're very lucky if it is indeed under a closet and not in the middle of the den (with glued in laminate flooring) like mine was. The PO left some extra flooring, so I was able to repair it, but it was no fun fixing a missing in the middle of the room.

I'm curious what caused you to have this looked at in the first place.

Actually it was foundation issues that prompted to have it looked into. But the leak is nowhere near the foundation issues... thats why I asked.
