Leak coming from air vent in ceiling when hose is on...

The outside back of my house has a hose nozzle connected to it. Below it is a bedroom in the basement essentially. The other day I didn't turn the water on those hose nozzle all the way off, and in turn found that an air vent in the bedroom in the basement was dripping water...fairly decent amount over time. When the water on the hose was turned off, the dripping stopped.

Any ideas what is going on there? I don't see any wetspots on the ceiling, but is it possible there is sitting water there causing potential damage? Should I get this checked out or do some sort of precautionary checks myself? If I should have a pro come, what type of specialist should I call?

Any advice is appreciated!
