leak in the bathroom

what is right above the spot where the water leaks through? does the water show up after using the bathtub? the toilet could need the wax ring replaced. it could be coming from the valve in the tub/shower or from the tub /shower drain. i would look for any obvious signs of leaking and if you can't find any stop using the bathroom til everything dries up and then maybe flush the toilet 6-8 times and see if any water shows up. then fill the tub and let it drain. you can eliminate them one at a time til you find the offender. there are numerous places for water to come from. if you can narrow it down to one fixture it makes it easier to figure out what is leaking. numerous photos are always helpful also. i did the plumbing in a house that a builder was building for himself. a few weeks after he moved in he called and said he had a leak coming into his dining room with the expensive panels on it. i go to look and notice the gaps under the baseboard in the bathroom above. i asked him if the floor ever got any water on it when his kids took a bath? the water on the floor was running under the baseboard and working its way down.

leak in the bathroom

Does it leak all the time? or just at specific times? Can you show us the leak from below, and a picture what is directly above? Does it leak when you fill the tub over the overflow? Does it leak when you take a shower? Can you post pictures of the shower stall the toilet the lavatory and under the vanity?

I for one, lost my digital remote divining rod, and the batteries in my crystal ball are out of juice................
