Hi, want to put laundry tub in garage, not much experience, but willing to listen
have a new build with basement still unfinished so obviously I can see all the pipework, from the nearest pipework in basement to the laundry tub placement through the wall it is only about 2/4 feet away
Couldn't you use a remote Shut off system, such as used for laundry rooms? Push the button, water flows for a period set by the timer. As for the drain, depending on how far from the garage, you could run a drain pipe against the wall to the door. It really depends on what you are going to use the wash sink for.
as stated before, waterlines would be relatively easy to get where you want them, and depending on how things look up above, the drain might not be too difficult either.
It's really hard to tell where the sink is going to go in relation to your drainage system, but basically you're going to need a 3x2 wye cut in somewhere on that 3" line in the vicinity of your laundry sink drain, then whatever fittings you need to get the laundry sink to that location, 2" drain up to the trap arm, and 1-1/2" vent out the roof, or tied into the bathroom stack if possible, and/or depending on how many other fixtures the 2" vent is currently serving. We also always put a cleanout right under the trap arm as well.
