Late 60's home - Half Bath to Full Bath in Basement?


We have a home built in the late 60s. It has a half bath in the basement (toilet and sink) that are right on the concrete floor.

We've been thinking about converting this to a full bath. The good news (I guess) is that we have a full bath right above it, so the plumbing is all in one line down.

My biggest concern is that I'm not sure how I go about adding the plumbing for the tub.

Here's a quick pick of what I'm dealing with:

Late 60's home - Half Bath to Full Bath in Basement?


You will need to cut a trench in your floor and run 1.5" pipe from the building drain (4") to the tub location.

Ok, so the big thing here is connecting the tub to the 4" drain?
