Kohler toilet running constant


Hello:

My toilet keeps running water in the fill tube I cant get it to stop. I am on a well. Thanks.

yeah, did that. still running out the fill tube not full blast, just a constant flow.

Is the water level over the overflow tube?
Try gently lifting the flat all the way up. Does the water stop? If it does you need to adjust the float level. If that doesn't stop it you need to replace the fill valve.

Kohler toilet running constant


Sometimes a piece of dirt gets trapped in the valve that controls the water inlet at the end of the ball float. I've oftern taken the little 1/4" tube that squirts water to the bowl, disconnected that from its clip and used the water jet to clean that valve. At the same time I lift the ball float up high so it forces the valve to close. If it closes, then your problem might be on the way to being fixed - without you rushing out for parts and peeing in the woods.
