Kitchen Sink Waste Pipe... Help!

I just replaced the basket drain and installed a garbage disposal in my dual sink. The problem is that the waste line in the kitchen is about 6 inches from the bottom of the sink, and about 10 from the floor. This results in the garbage disposal waste line (connected through a T-joint) being lower than the waste line into the wall! Am I S.O.L.?

I feel like I have to get a plumber to open the wall and lower the waste line...

There are lots of fittings available to make things work. The trap needs to be below the drain connection, the rest can be whatever is available.

Take a picture of what you're looking at.

I think this picture's clear enough. I was pretty syked to get it all connected after cutting the pipes, then I looked at it like... oh crap...

Yep, your trap is backwards also. Make sure you've punched out the plug in the disposal where your dishwasher hose connects as well.

im thinking the disposal is actually part of the trap!
