Kitchen sink trap

My plumber just replaced all the pipe in the kitchen. Due to other vents and drains, he dropped the trap more than 20 inches below the sink. It sits just one and a half inches off the floor of the cupboard. Aside from being ugly does this meet code? Thanks for your input.

Kitchen sink trap

Yes, but he could have done somthing else like installing an AAV(air admittance valve). He didn't leave any room for storage under the sink.

1002.1 Fixture Traps. The vertical distance from the fixture outlet to the trap weir shall not exceed 24"
