My kitchen sink sprayer, when pressed will not shut the water off from the faucet completely and I get very little water coming from the sprayer. We have a well and our pressure is about 40 lbs. Any help? Also, the sink is on an outside wall and the hose gets very stiff in the cold days is there a hose that will stay flexible in the cold weather?
side spray hoses are pretty much all the same. if it's too stiff, i'd run a little hot water thru it to loosen it up on the cold days. If you still have water running thru the spout, the button under the handle is either starting to break or not being pressed down far enough. if it were me I would just replace the whole thing and save a lot of hassle
What he said, except that, and I don't recall ever having to do this, but assuming that it did work properly, and now does not, I would remove the aerator, if so equipped, and see if that affects it. If it helps, you could either clean or replace the aerator. You may also want to consider leaving the doors under the sink open, at least partially, on cold days, in order to let some warmth in there.
