So what you need to do now is to measure from the bottom of the tee branch (the horizontal part of the tee) down to the top of the nut on the p-trap.

It looks like about 3" to me. That will tell you how much deeper your sink can be.

Thanks. I found a sink that is 8 inches deep so it should fit. I will replace after my garbage disposal arrives.

BTW, I bought some of the Barkeepers friend and man it was amazing how much better the stainless steel sink looked but we still will replace.
