Question

Kitchen Sink Install - no "U Channel"

Hi! I just got a Polar Ware double-bowl stainless self-rimming kitchen sink, and in attempting to install it, realize it has no "u channel" for sink clips to grab onto.

Does anyone here know how to install one of these? It appears to just have a bend in the metal around the edge of the sink, to create the "rim", but clips won't grab onto that, will they?

Thanks for ANY help folks!!! This forum is great!

Kitchen Sink Install - no "U Channel"

Not sure I understand, what comes with the sink, components, instructions??? Something has to hold the sink down.

Kitchen Sink Install - no "U Channel"

Well, it's brand new but didn't have a box. There were no instructions, and Polar Ware's customer service is of no help (although she did confirm they don't send out any accompanying literature...)

All i can imagine is getting some type of clip that actually locks into the outer lip of the sink. Is that common? And where would I get a clip like that? they all seem pretty universal from what I've seen.

Thanks!

Kitchen Sink Install - no "U Channel"

Thanks! I saw that too. but that's not for the "self-rimming" type sinks like mine.

I have seen self-rimming sinks that have the u-channel for screw to hold into and clamp down using the underside of the counter. but this one doesn't have that, and was just curious if anyone here has seen this type of installation.

Thanks
