Kitchen Sink Drain
How long can my Trap Arm be? Does the Trap Arm need to be slanted toward the downward drain line?
Thanks. Roger |
Not sure what you are attempting to do. Most trap arms are only about a foot long. Is your fixure that far from the wall? You can add to the pipe from the wall and install a slip-joint fitting on the end of it to accept the trap arm. Need a little more info here. The arm should drain towards the wall (main drain).

Thanks for your reply. My P-Trap is actually only a few inches from the wall but the 1 1/2 inch drain pipe inside my wall needs to run horizontally approx 30 inches to the sanitary Tee due to blockage issues directly below the sink area.
I called it the "Trap Arm" only to make the point that it needs to run a ways horizontally before connecting to the downward drain. I wondered about the limits of that horizontal run inside my wall as well as the need to slant that short horizontal run. Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply and for the max length of the Arm.
