Kitchen Rough-in
Under our existing kitchen sink, the rough in drain line exits beneath the right hand sink tub which allows an open area beneath the left hand sink tub for our disposer unit. This seems to work great. That drain line exits (into the wall) approx 18 inches above the floor level.

We live in a County with no building codes. We're extending our kitchen wall which required the extension of the water lines and the drain line.

Question: Is the [above] location of the existing drain line located in the best possible location?

Usually the drain is roughed in the center. If you find it works better to one side their isn't any reason you can't do it that way though.

Thanks for the reply. We'll keep the drain to the right as before ... to leave the space around the disposer unit uncluttered.
