Kitchen plumbing - Loop Vent

Hi to all,

My husband hired someone to redo our kitchen plumbing and also move our washer form the middle of the basement to the west outside wall.

The kitchen was completely gutted and how has insulation. Please see link for picture after installation. I had never seen pluming like that so I searched and found that this is called a Loop Vent but normally only used for a kitchen island. Will this work for a kitchen sink with dish washer and below grade a washer?

Make sure your being inspected by your friendly building department. Local codes may vary. You should have a building permit for your job. If you don't I would ask some serious questions to your contractor.

Your picture does not show a completed loop vent- has the work been inspected yet?

yes I have. On a kitchen sink with no conventional way to vent it because of the wall construction. I wanted to use an auto air vent but my local code prohibited its use.

Did your plumber install as this image shows? Including the foot vent?

Apparently your hired hand did not pull his permits... Not a good thing as you as the homeowner are the one that is legally responsible for the permits.
