Kitchen faucet noises

Hey,

My kitchen faucet has been making a weird noise since we moved in. It goes away for a few seconds when I use the little spray nozzle but then comes right back.

Does the same thing with hot and cold. Any quick advice?

I had the same problem with a Price Pfister fawcet. I wanted to change it
and install a new one. But, the problem was with the washers. I replaced
the washers and seats and the rings around the bonnet and it di not make
any more noise. I am not sure about other brands of fawcets.

Make sure your stops (little valves under your sink) are fully turned open.

The stops are fully open and I don't think it's a washer problem. The attached spray nozzle gets the feed before the washer in the main faucet would get it. That stumped me (of little knowledge).

Is there anything lodged in the aerator (where the water comes out of the spray head and faucet)? Is this happening at other fixtures in your home; possible high water pressure (greater than 80psi). is the faucet worth reparing, is it old and should be replaced? Just a process of elimination here.

The sound isn't coming from the aerator and they are clean. When I open it up just a little bit I can't hear the sound though... And no, just in the kitchen.

Any other tips?

As far as I can tell the sound is coming from the bottom of the faucet. Not the pipes in the wall.

Should I try to open the unit up and look for blockages?
