Kitchen Faucet - No hot water, just a trickle

Hi All
Never posted to this site yet, but have some info that might be helpful.
I purchased a American Standard Olvera Kitchen Faucet probibly 2 years ago from Lowe's.
Nice unit, very functional and my Family loves it.
Yesterday as we were Digging out from Storm Nemo, We got 34", my wife told me there was only a Trickle of Water flowing from the Hot Water side of our Single Handle faucet.
This morning - Time to fix it. "Cut to the Chase", we have City Water/ Gas Hot water hearter and it was plugged with a Scalley, almost like crushed Sea Shells on the Hot Water side.
I did find the American Standard Olvera Kitchen Faucet PDF File and saw how to take the Cartridge out.
I do have a Compressor, I removed the Stainless Steel Flex Jumper line from the Shut off Valve to the Flex Line off the Faucet. I blew Air BACKWARDS from the Faucet Back ( If you blow into the Flex Line, you might jam the Scaley stuff tighter. I put a few pieces of Cheese Cloth over the end to catch the crap, was amazed at how much came out.
Hooked back up, turned the Water on (Shut it off first) and works perfect.
I am now looking at a Filter for the Hot Side as it is maybe from a Lime deposit or something.

Thanks for the tip Tim. Being the fanatic that I am, I would take the thing completely apart, then put the cart in my ultrasonic cleaner. But thanks anyway. The only thing I would be careful about is your air pressure Too much could blow out seals.

One whole house filter in the main incoming line would filter all the water not just the hot.
Right now that trash is filling up the bottom of your water heater.

Thanks for getting back to me,
This was a Trial and error for me, worked out in the end.
Yes, I was careful to just blow thru the Hot water feed without having the Cartridge installed and my Gas Hot water heater was installed in 1991, not too bad for that HO Smith unit, but is that where the "scale crap" is coming from ?

2 Questions I have is the thought of stopping the Junk from getting out into my Copper delivery system, I could put a Sediment filter on the "Out side" of the water heater. and a Whole house system, I have been looking as my Wife would like that - what system is out there that's not $500.00, I'd blow out the Faucet if I had to every few years, it's not a problem, my wife likes it when I fix this stuff

I just bought two clear sediment filters and a case of filters on Ebay for around 128 bucks The filters are heavy duty and I like the clear aspect so I can see the condition. The only problem is that the in out is left to right, and I really needed right to left, but no real big deal there.
