Kitchen faucet installation dilemma
It's time to get a new kitchen faucet. I got a Moen (Renzo CA87316W). At installation time, I found out the two supply lines connectors don't match.
From the image below you can see my existing water supply line and the previous AquaTouch faucet both has 3/4" connectors. But the Moen supply line use a 3/8" compression fittings.
After some reading, it seems 3/8" compression fitting is very much the standard connection nowaday, (is that true?). If that's true then I don't have any choice but to get some kind of coupling to connect these lines.
But if there are faucets out there with 3/4" connectors then it's easier for me to install it.
What do you think a simple DIY like me should do ?
it is true, 3/8 comp is pretty much the industry standard. i would replace the two angle stops underneath the sink with new 1/4 turn ones that have a 3/8 comp outlet. not difficult at all, and you'll get the added security of reliable valves in case of emergencies
I got a faucet similar to my previous faucet with 1/2" inlet hose. Problem solved.
