Kitchen facuet water hot/warm no cold

I have an american standard single handle faucet, the hot side seems to be running even when handle is turned to cold(turned off cold source water runs hot no matter where handle is positioned) so we don't get cold water only hot and warm. Is there a fix? or time for a new faucet? faucet is 4-5 years old, problem just started.
Thank you

Probably needs rubber seals in the valve body. Take handle off, unscrew the top of valve body. Carefully lift out valve. there are rubber seals and springs in there.. Pay attention
