Join 100mm pvc pipe to a concrete tank

I have a concrete square tank and i want to cut a 100mm hole in the tank with a hole saw and connect a pvc 100mm pipe to allow the water to flow out. Is there a special filling to use as I have access to the inside of the tank,

I've used a fast set concrete filling in after inserting the pipe and it works really well.

Unless the pipe is held very rigid, I would suggest a flexible material such as a silicone caulk that would allow some movement of the pipe. If I was doing it, I would want from 1/4- 1/2 clearance all around the pipe and fill that annulus with the silicone caulk. The hole would have to be free of all chips and dust before inserting the pipe and caulk.

Fitting called 'Conconect' made by Flowcon available from Reece Plumbing. Fitting connects to all pipes, pits and tanks. For a water tank load th e back of the seal with silicone push the fititng in and then screw it up. Job done in 2 minutes.

That's pretty interesting. Is that standard schedule 40 PVC that it comes in?

What thickness of surfaces will it connect to?

Alan I have used these fitting a number of times when connecting to concrete pipe and pits. I have also had success with connecting it to the James Hardie pipe and new pipe called storm pro. Not overly sure of the wall thickness minimum however the pits I have put it in are 100mm thick. Most councils require this connection nowdays to prevent the connecting pipe from penetrating too far which causes a blockage in a drain. Maybe the guys at Reece plumbing could help you further or the manufacturer. I this info hope it helps you.
