Question jetted tub/shower

I am looking at putting a jetted tub in a new bath but there is not room for a separate shower unit. I have yet to see a jetted tub used as for a shower as well. Is there a reason for this? What are the pros and cons? I am thinking of a standard sized jetted tub, nothing too fancy. thanks in advance.

Jacuzzi makes a tub called Cetra that will do what you want. There are lots of others. Basically even a drop in model can become an alcove model if a add on tile flange is available for it.
