jacuzzi motor next to vapor barrier & insulation

A contractor recently installed a Kohler whirlpool in my bathroom, replacing an old shower/tub combo. The whirlpool is a 60"x32" tub installed in a three wall surround. One thing I noticed is that the whirlpool motor sits about an inch away from the vapor barrier and insulation (behind the vb). Is this a fire hazard I should be concerned about and should there be some fire retard. material seperating the motor from the vb? Thx for any help.
