Jacuzzi Cyclone shallow weel pump

I have a Jacuzzi 7CY-S Cyclone shallow well pump for my 18' point. The pump has a small crack in the plastic housing that connects to the water inlet, and yes it is leaking as a result. How much is this effecting my water pressure? It seems to be inconsistent.

Also, I plan on replacing it soon. Is there any advantage to running the new pump at 230V as opposed to 115V ?(which is what mine is currently set it) It appears that all I have to do to change it, is flip a switch at the electrical connection on the pump where the pressure switch attaches from 115V to 230V. Is that correct? Do I need to do anything else?

I need ALL of these questions answered!!

Thank you
